Notes:

(1) My Invention and initiation, from 28 August 1979, of the major Israeli space projects, the space launcher, called today "Shavit" and the observation satellite, called today "Offeq". Those inventions and initiations were conducted by me voluntarily during the industrial year vacation of August 1979 of Israel Aircraft Industrials, Ltd. (IAI). Up to that time the subject was unknown to me, since I was involved with  subjects regarding Navigation and Control of various vehicles.

(2) My invention of the global idea, "Civilian Low Earth Orbit Network of Communications Satellites" in 1983, was mentioned - by the way - in my letter to the Israeli Minister of Science, Prof. Yuval Neeman. In that latter I suggested a project regarding my novel idea "Real-Time TV Tourism Via Satellite to the Holy Land". However, the Government of Israel was not in a position to deal with such big projects, and I was allowed by the IAI to tell about those ideas to persons abroad. On November 1984 I had a meeting in the US with two senior managers of the Satellite Communications sector of RCA. In that meeting I also explained about this idea, "Civilian Low Earth Orbit Network of Communications Satellites". This was during the meeting while I suggested to RCA of mutual cooperation to launch my smaller project "Real-Time TV Tourism Via Satellites to the Holy Land". Those two senior managers were completely astonished from my idea regarding the Civilian Low Earth Orbit for Communications. They both knew the USA Army's very expensive project GPS. However my idea paved the way for commercial use of relatively cheep project.  Many years latter the "Motorola" company implemented the idea in the "Iridium" project.  Nobody contacted me regarding the "Iridium" project.  I was published that the "Iridium" project was collapsed after several years of implementations, due to inability to establish a sufficient customer base. I think, and many other too, that this project "Iridium" was launched too late. The Cellular competitors raised their head. I believe that if The "Motorola" company was contacting me, as the inventor of the idea, I could contribute a lot to make the project successful. As happens with other inventors, I have the complete idea, not just the simple communications segment that encountered strong competition from cellular technology.  I was glad to read in the newspapers of Nov. 2001 that "Iridium" tries to return to function, by finding new target customers. I believe I may contribute to their project if they just ask my advise, in spite of my struggle with the IAI. (3) My idea "Real-Time Television Tourism Via Satellites", which I invented in 1983, was not accepted at that time. Many people asked me then "who needs such a service?"  Today there are  worldwide projects implementing this idea in the TV and the Internet. Unfortunately, the bitter struggle with the IAI prevented the launching of this project many years ago. For ordering my documents regarding this subject, please copy the following address of my e-mail: ifried22@gmail.com and send your request  via your e-mail.

(4) My company Satellite Network Tours, Inc. (SNT) is registered and represented by the law offices Brown Nietert & Kaufmann, Chartered, Suite 660, 1920 N Street, N. W., Washington D.C. 20036. SNT is not yet financially active. However, it was used to advance some of my ideas regarding satellite communications. For ordering my documents regarding this subject, please copy the following address of my e-mail: ifried22@gmail.com and send your request  via your e-mail.

(5) My suggestion to the IAI in 1986, while I was for a short period out of the IAI, to cooperate with me in order to launch a new project regarding  "Network of Observation Satellites from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for Purposes of Tourism". The IAI rejected the proposal on the basis that the company was not involved with civilian satellites. This idea is not yet operating. But the technology exists and the market may request it in the near future. For ordering my documents regarding this subject, please copy the following address of my e-mail: ifried22@gmail.com and send your request  via your e-mail.

(6) My lecture on 26 February 1987 in the Technion in Haifa, Israel during the 29th Israel Annual Conference on Aviation and Astronautics. I received permission from the Chairman of one of the sessions to announce my new proposal: Israel and the Middle East as an International Space Gateway. Seven years later, In 1994, I have sent this idea to editors in Israel and it was published in several Israeli newspapers, as will be shown below. For ordering my documents regarding this subject, please copy the following address of my e-mail: ifried22@gmail.com and send your request  via your e-mail.

(7) The submission of three patent applications, in my name, No. 85927, 85926, and 85925, in 30 March 1988, was approved by written documents from managers in the IAI that represented the top management of the IAI. They even assisted to me to transfer the many confidential documents, regarding two of those patent applications, to the Israeli Patent Office in Jerusalem, with their car and guard persons.  At that time the IAI did not believe in my inventions. They new, but I didn't, that few months later the first launching of the Israeli satellite, "Offeq" will be launched by the Israeli space launcher "Shavit. As known, the launching was conducted successfully on September 19, 1988.  If you have not seen yet "Shavit" or "Offeq", you may see them in the site of IAI.

(8) The submission of parallel patent applications of two of those three applications, in the USA, Europe, and other countries, on March 1989. All those submissions were approved in signed documents by the Israeli Defense Minister at that time, Mr. Yitzhak Rabin. Clear evidences shows that Mr. Rabin gave his permission only after the top management of the IAI had agreed to it during a special management meeting shortly before the signment.  I was told latter that at those times the IAI did not believe yet that my patent applications would become approved patents. As happens many times, the inventor believes in his invention more than others and he investigates money and time until the invention becomes an official patent.

(9) The US patent No. 5172875 issued on my name on 22 December 1992, after several exam reports during 3 years. This US patent granted for my patent application mentioned above. It is so valuable that the IAI fight very aggressively to take it from me by unfair tricks. I hope to return the US patent to my ownership as soon as possible. If you wish to see mow my US Patent No. 5172875, please go to the page "Important Links" and click there on the appropriate link. For ordering a copy of the US Patent, directly from me, please copy the following address of my e-mail: ifried22@gmail.com and send your request  via your e-mail.

(10) My articles on the subject of my old idea: Israel and the Middle East as an International Space Gateway (in Hebrew), were published in several Hebrew newspapers, such as Globes and Davar, in about November 1994. The ideas included in those articles might be very important to the USA as well as to the other countries dealing with landing space shuttles. In the articles I pointed out that the Mediterranean Sea could function as a safety zone for the last 2,000 km of reentry from space. For ordering a copy of the US Patent, directly from me, please copy the following address of my e-mail: ifried22@gmail.com and send your request  via your e-mail.
