Short Curriculum Vita of Israel Fried

Israel Fried is Space Physicist, inventor and independent theoretical resercher in physical and biological issues.  He is specialist in performing Preliminary Feasibility Studies of New Scientifical Theories and New Technological Projects.  Born: September 8, 1947 Tel Aviv, Israel. His father, Eliezer Menahem. Fried (1904-1991) was an  inventor and a man of many parts, mentioned in the "Who is Who in Israel 1960".   Israel Fried finished High School in the youth village Aloney Yitzhak, Israel (1959-1965), where he started to develop novel original ideas.  Academic: B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics (1972);  M.Sc. in Physics (1975), both in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. The Master Thesis titled Infinite Relativistic Star Cluster. After the Master he studied a one year towards a Doctoral thesis at the Technion in Haifa, Israel (1976). The subject of research concerned Experimental Elementary Particle Physics. Later, he joined the industry as a physicist in the Israel Aircraft Industries, Ltd. (IAI). In August 1979 he invented and initiated, in MLM of IAI, the two major Israeli national space programs "Shavit" and "Offeq".  Since 1980 he became specialist in Space Technology Physics.   In 1984 he established the company "Satellite Network Tours, Inc."  (SNT) in Washington D.C., USA.   SNT was intended to develop his new concepts regarding "Real-Time TV Tourism Via Satellites". Unfortunately, the company was not operated financially. The subject was at that time too advanced for the market.  In 1984 he also raised the idea of using "Nets of Satellite Communications in Low Earth Orbits (LEO) for Civilian Uses". The managers of the Satellite Communications sector of RCA were astonished in 1984 when he explained his idea.  On March 31, 1988 he left the IAI and became an independent physicist.

Since 1988 he continue to develop new scientific and technological subjects. In addition, he lectured in many courses to gifted youth students and adults regarding subjects in Space Physics and his novel scientific field: "The Physics of Animals and Plants".  The lectures were in the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel;  in the Tel-Aviv University and in other academic organizations, as well as in schools in Israel.  In 1991 he became temporarily the Governmental Country Supervisor on the "Youth for Science" academic organizations in Israel  Since 1991 he is in a long struggle with the IAI for defending his legal rights regarding his US Patent No. 5172875. This patent exposes his new method for Space Launchers.  Using this patent might save up to 20-30% in the Space Launching.  This patent was expired at November 2008, but the sruggle continues.

In spite of this struggle, Israel Fried continues his efforts to develop useful ideas, inventions and scientific articles in a variety of novel fields for the benefit of the Israel country and the Humanity.

About Israel Fried Ideas

Since childhood he developed hundreds of original and creative ideas and inventions in a variety of technological and scientific fields. Many of his ideas have anticipated technological advances by more than a decade. Naturally, not all his ideas were published. It was more important for him to write down an idea and to submit it to other scientists, for accepting comments than to waste too much time and money for publishing the idea.  For Israel Fried, the most importance was that his articles be record for future examinations, even several decades away.  The few articles he wished to publish encounter financial and technical problems, such as perfect translation to English and perfect editing.  Many of Israel Fried ideas were implemented and proved as useful for the Humanity. Some of his ideas were suggested latter by others in professional journals or books, optionally without knowing of his ideas.  Some of those cases mention in this site.

This site lists a part of Israel Fried civilian ideas. Some of his articles are regarded by Fried as semi-scientific. He believes that the best way for a person like him to contribute to the society is by presenting the novel ideas after a Preliminary Feasibility Study. The purpose is to trigger theoretical and experimental scientists, which may have better technical tools than he has, to aprove or disprove the usefulness of each innovation idea.

For example, the Preliminary Feasibility Study Israel Fried has done in the two weeks of August 1979, have led to the above mentioned two Israeli projects, "Shavit" and "Offeq".  He did that Preliminary Feasibility Study voluntarily, during the industrial vacation of the IAI. No one told him to do the study. The subject was not included in the tasks of his job in the IAI. More over, the subject was totally new for him, but it encouraged him very much. Fried was looking for a way to include Israel Nation among the very limited group of nations (9 up to 2013) using space launchers of their own for launching their own satellites.   It was very important at those two weeks to attack the issue from many physical and technological aspects, in a variety of Hi-Tec fields, and to dwell deeply into several new issues, for being sure about the correctness of his innovation idea, and for convincing the management of MLM to start learning the new subject in purpose to develop his new suggested project.  Israel Fried knew that if he fall in an important issue in that Study, the whole project could collapse, even after many years of development, as sometimes happens with projects that the inventor skips important points. As a result of that voluntarily task of Israel Fried in August 1979, he became the head of the first group in Israel that has done the first official Preliminary Feasibility Studies of those two projects, which are called today "Shavit" and "Offeq".

This is an example to the way Israel Fried attacks every new idea, scientific or technology. He first writes down the idea at the moment it sparks on his mind. Then he implies a First Feasibility Study in order to see if the idea is reasonable, feasible and usefulness.  If this test is OK (and if he has the time) he starts a Preliminary Feasibility Study in order to write the idea at least as a semi-scientific article for accepting responses.  Positive and negative criticism usually encourages Fried to improve the idea.  Many of his ideas are interdisciplinary. Therefore, scientists from different fields are invited to check his ideas. For instance, Israel Fried innovation field "Animal and Plant Physics" includes subjects from biology, physics, chemistry, hi-tec, etc.  He expects comments from specialist in those fields regarding this subject and the other ideas and articles.
